From Arkansas

Im going to be in Brattleburro,VT for a week and was wondering if there are any good reef shops in the area? Im looking for encrusting montis. I will be coming up every few months for a week. Hope to get a chance to see some good shops or tanks in the area.
About my tank> I started with a 35ish gall cube. Have found that it is very hard to get the flow right in a small tank. i have a 10gal fuge underit and am running a 20k 175w MH. A cs120 skimmer and using a mag 7 for a return. Looking forward to get the plumbing done on the 70 gallon that I have setting in the garage waiting to come in the house.

Hopefully someone from VT will chime in. I'm not too familiar with Western NH/Southern VT. How far would you be willing to drive to visit some decent LFS?

Most of the LFS I'm familiar with are open to 8 weekdays, but the nearest one to you that I visit is about an hour and a half from Brattleboro. Check the distance to Nashua NH, and check our sponser forum for Aquarium Gallery. There are quite a few really good LFS in SE NH but they would all be a haul from Brattleboro. If you decide to make the trip you could swing by my house and check things out. I'd be happy to take you around if you had a day.

I'll ask my sister, she lives in Colrain, MA and that is about 10 to 15 minutes from Brattleboro, VT she does mostly the planted tank thing because she is a horticultural freak lol but she goes to the LFSs in and around that area and knows if they have salt water or not and if they sell frags and such too... so i'll ask her tomorrow because i'm going out there to help her move ! yuck.... lol i'll get back to ya soon !

She pretty much said that there isn't much in the way of really nice saltwater LFSs out there ... i know i have been to one but from what i remember there wasn't much for selection and it was a little far from the VT border... i think you best bet would be to do the hour or so trip to the more well known LFSs that have already been mentioned... they are known for good selection and such ! ... sorry i tried ... but there really isn't much out here lol
