We'll be giving away a 5 gal ( 160g ) bucket of Reef Crystals salt mix. Also 2 $25 Aqua Addicts gift certificates. A meeting is almost set for the end of the month Saturday March 29th 3-6 in Goffstown. The details are still being worked out and an official announcement will be made shortly.

If you are unsure whether or not you are a paid member take a look next to your Sig, you should have a Paid member tag, any questions you can reach me by PM. Thanks

This is the same date as another meeting in the area... is this a good idea ?

I would like to suggest that the date be moved so that maybe more people will come to this one...

I'm not sure I'd consider it to be in the area. I'd really like to establish our own group, and I feel that to some extent we have that. Dates wont always conflict sometimes they might. I've posted this before that I really dont want to have to search for what other organizations might be doing on any specific day so that we can schedule around it. Maybe they should consider the conflict with our schedule and reschedule. BTW I have a big announcement to make at the next meeting which is hopefully going make us a stronger more independant group so that we can grow into the future.

I agree with that. We have a hard enough time trying to find a spot and date sometimes. Next week is Easter weekend. Maybe at some point we'll consult the other area club calendars, but we're stuck with only a few weeks left in March.

Calendar event going up soon.

I understand completely.. but, allot of the members here are also there.. so -I can only image the thought of go to a meeting with 20+ people or one with 100+ people - then there is the speakers and coral frag swaps .. it's very hard to compete with that.

I would like to go to a much smaller meeting but, I for one and I am sure others may have same issue... family and such - it's hard to do two a month.

Any way - I would try having one two weeks between them and have a great topic and location and you be surprised at the attendence qty... maybe I am wrong - just a guess.

Personally, I'd rather go to a smaller meeting sharing ideas with other hobbyists rather than attending the lecture of a famous speaker. But that's just my personal preference, and I know it's not shared by all. To each his own.

Anyway, we just ran out of weekends this month. I'd like to see us get to the point where we actually have pre-planned 3-6 months out with both dates and locations (and also avoiding conflicts with other reef clubs, church groups, cubscouts, and local PTA events (just teasing ;-). But your point is well taken and a good one.

We'll try to make future meetings NOT on these dates if possible.
April 27th Sun
