calcium

My tank is about 4 months old bought 125 lbs of live rock spent the extra money on the lr that was covered with all the different coraline algae.two months to cure it till all my levels were at 0.Since then i have taken about 25lbs or so out rearranged the rock have a few softie frags sps.Im using rodi water all levels are still at 0.ph is a lil high 8.4 in morning 8.6 in the day.I know that needs to drop some but figured it would drop in time instead of trying to lower it myself.is this true?or should i lower it now?The second problem was my alk dropped down to 7 my calcium was at like 350.Doesed with bionic two part.tested a few hrs later alk 9 calcium 250.obviously alk up calcium down a hundred waaited till morning calcium 300 alk the same.waited a day left everything alone dosed calcium this morning calcium between 300-350.Done two doses and really hasnt moved except went down a bit does this make sense to anyone??I know i did thetest right did the doses right but calcium wont budge..also i never put calcium in while curing coraline turned white i understand it will come back when levels are right but could it not be moving because the coraline was starving for so long and when i changed my alk the coraline is sucking up the calcium so quick???

I'll dig up an article for you. You should also be testing Magnesium. Low Magnesium can make your alk and Ca do crazy things.
